VICTORIA, Canada--()--Canadian Business and PROFIT today ranked Terapeak No. 221 on the 26th annual PROFIT 500, the definitive ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies. Published in the July issue of Canadian Business and online at PROFITguide.com, the PROFIT 500 ranks Canadian businesses by their revenue growth over five years.

Terapeak made the 2014 PROFIT 500 list with five-year revenue growth of 256%. The company’s popular analytics tools for eBay, Amazon, Yahoo! Japan and Magento have provided online sellers with tools for analyzing, understanding and predicting consumer and product behavior in ecommerce. In calendar year 2013, Terapeak merchants sold more than $4.4 billion on eBay platforms worldwide. In fact, 31.5% of merchants who grossed more than $1 million per month in eBay sales used Terapeak last year. Terapeak’s ranking in the PROFIT 500 reflects the company’s success in helping merchants build online businesses.

Today, Over 1.3 million online sellers use Terapeak to generate insights from over 4.6 billion transactions per year and over $70 billion in online consumer spending. Using proprietary analytics that cut through the complexity of e-commerce transactional data, Terapeak offers unique marketplace intelligence. Merchants use Terapeak’s reporting to evaluate sourcing opportunities, price points, market trends, product behavior across regions and their competition.

“The members of the PROFIT 500 are the elite of the country’s entrepreneurial community,” said James Cowan, Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Business and PROFIT. “Their stories are lessons in business strategy, innovation, management excellence and sheer tenacity.”

“Terapeak is honoured to be ranked in the PROFIT 500 for the second consecutive year,” said President & CEO Kevin North. “This achievement reflects the support of our customers who have made Terapeak a cornerstone in their ecommerce strategy, and of eBay who has been an outstanding data partner. It’s rewarding to make a product that empowers online sellers around the globe, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that cares so deeply about helping merchants.”

Terapeak’s innovative products and rapid growth have gained widespread recognition.
