CHIBA, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA) will host the TOKYO GAME SHOW 2010, scheduled September 16-19 2010 in Chiba, Japan. The show management will hold special programs such as Asian Game Business Summit, TGS Forum 2010, and Sense of Wonder Night (SOWN) commemorating the 20th edition of the Tokyo Game Show, with several top global industry executive participants: Microsoft, Tensent, Shanda Games, Gree, Sony Computer Entertainment, and so on.

The Opening Day Event: Top industry executives from around the world to join in Keynote Speech and Asia Game Business Summit

Phil Spencer, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft Corporation, receiving heavy media attention by its new interface "Kinect", and Takashi Sensui, General Manager at Microsoft Japan will participate in the Keynote speech. The two will deliver their speech with a theme of "Vision and Business strategy of Xbox 360".

The twentieth annual Asia Game Business Summit, starting at 1pm on Thursday, September 13, will feature Tensent, China's leading online game publisher and largest Internet company, rivaling Google and Amazon in terms of total market value, along with Shanda Games, the second largest in the industry. This year's Summit will be truly global, including eight industry-leading companies from China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. The theme of this year's Summit is "Developing the games business in Asia," and the speakers will peer into the future of the gaming industry in this high-growth region.

On Friday, September 17, the show management will hold the TGS Forum 2010 Special Session (paid) and the Sponsorship Session (free). At the Special Session, Gree will present at the Social Game Session, while Sony Computer Entertainment will present at the 3D Session and the Asia Game Business Session. The Sponsorship Session, hosted by the Netherlands Pavilion, will examine international business partnerships using some case studies of leading Dutch game companies under the theme of "Dutch game masters: originality in the Dutch game industry."

The Smartphone Category to be Added to SOWN 2010 to Discover New Game Ideas from All Corners of the World

SOWN 2010, becoming its third annual event, will be held from 6pm on Friday, September 17. SOWN is an event to discover new game ideas that will attract people with surprise and give them a "Sense of Wonder" - a sense that something will change in their world - right at the instant of seeing or hearing the concept. The presentation will be made by a total of 9 groups (3 from Japan, 2 each from the US and Germany, 1 each from Singapore and Iran). One group has been qualified to make a presentation for the newly established Smartphone Category.

The games presented at the presentation will be exhibited at the SOWN Pavilion (Hall 6), available for general visitors to try these wonderful new ideas.
