NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American International Underwriters (AIU), a leading global property-casualty insurance network, today announced it has been named the ‘Top Insurance Provider in the World’ in the 2009 Euromoney second annual Insurance Survey conducted between October 27, 2008 and December 19, 2008. Respondents also ranked AIU first in four global categories: product range, innovation, price and claims resolution.

More than 400 risk managers, treasurers, chief financial officers and other direct buyers of insurance at the top companies in 59 countries were polled for the survey. Respondents were asked to rank the best insurers, brokers and also the best companies providing alternative mechanisms for risk transfer.
