CHIBA CITY, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition 2009 (Inter BEE 2009) was held at Makuhari Messe in Japan from Wednesday, November 18 to Friday, November 20. This renowned event, a showcase of the newest technologies and emerging trends in broadcasting, is sponsored by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) and supported by the National Association of Commercial Broadcasters in Japan (NAB-J) and the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK). The Japan Electronics Show Association (JESA) has provided planning and management.

This year has marked the 45th Inter BEE - a comprehensive exhibition that brings together under one roof the latest in traditional broadcasting technologies, communications, IT, AV equipment, and lighting apparatuses, as well as innovations such as new proposals for production workflow centering on HDTV. Inter BEE is the largest exhibition of its kind in Japan and it is widely recognized by professionals in the industry, drawing a large number of visitors from video and content production fields as well as distribution sectors.

Additionally, to showcase the recent movement toward digitization in broadcasting, a new Cross Media Zone featuring IPTVs and Mobile TVs will be available at the venue this year to focus on new industries from the standpoint of broadcasting and video fields. At this zone, visitors can discover more about the future of mobile TV businesses after the transition to digital terrestrial broadcasting is completed as well as enjoy pavilion-style exhibitions covering digital signage, digital cinema, and 3D imaging.

Inter BEE 2009, which commenced on November 20, concluded in Makuhari Messe. A total of 816 exhibitors, including 466 exhibitors from 30 overseas countries/regions and organizations opened 1,391 booths in venue for the international exchange of technologies and market expansion.
