MERICHEM TO OPEN SHANGHAI OFFICE NOV. 26 TO PROVIDE CLOSER TIES WITH CHINA REFINING, GASIFICATION COMMUNITIES

Local team will offer proven technology, support for cleaning gas, liquids

 

SHANGHAI, November 2009 -- Merichem Company, an industry leader in hydrocarbon-cleaning technology and byproduct management services, will open a Shanghai office Nov. 26 to provide China's refining and gasification communities with improved access to Merichem's proprietary and proven technologies.

Staffed with local technical support and office personnel, Merichem expects to enhance customer relationships with Chinese refining and gas companies, which the company has served since 1994 for Sinopec. 

"We believe we can further assist China's hydrocarbon industries with the close, local support they need and desire," said Bob Hennekes (He, Le Bo), general manager of the Shanghai office.  "As our partners here know, Merichem offers unique and proven processes worldwide that successfully remove sulfur and other impurities from hydrocarbon streams.  We are very excited about the chance to become a part of China, and to further help China's industries grow."

In addition to service and support, Merichem plans to offer local manufacturing and other possible ventures in the future, Hennekes said.  The Nov. 30 grand opening activities will be open to all customers and prospects.  The office location is: F15 66 Huayuanshiqaio Road, PuDong District, Shanghai China 200120.
