Analysis Group, a leading provider of economic, health care, financial, and strategy consulting, today announced that it has opened an office in Beijing, China. Analysis Group-Beijing (安诺析思国际咨询) will focus primarily on providing health care research and strategic consulting to the firm's multinational pharmaceutical clients.

Analysis Group-Beijing will initially focus on health care consulting, particularly in health economics, epidemiology, and strategy, and will operate under the direction of Managing Principal Eric Qiong Wu, a health economist who has consulted to pharmaceutical and device companies, payers, and government agencies in North America, Europe, and Asia.
"By 2013, China is expected to become the world's third-largest pharmaceutical market," said Dr. Wu. "With a physical presence in China, our firm will be well-positioned to assist clients seeking to expand and enhance their own presences in China."
Analysis Group-Beijing will work collaboratively with academic affiliate Dr. Gordon Liu, a professor of economics and the director of China Center for Health Economics Research at Peking University's Guanghua School of Management. Dr. Liu is a leading expert on health and development economics, health policy reform, and pharmaceutical economics in China. He is recognized as a key figure in Chinese health care reform.
