NEW YORK & BEIJING--()--Perella Weinberg Partners, a leading independent financial services firm providing advisory and asset management services to clients globally, today announced that Daniel Chen has joined the Firm as a Managing Director and Head of Asia. Based in Beijing, Mr. Chen will work closely with the Firm’s partners and professionals to expand the Firm’s presence in Asia.
Mr. Chen was most recently a Senior Vice President in China Investment Corporation’s Special Investment Department, where he led, managed and played a key role in a number of large-scale direct investments world-wide. Prior to this, he was an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.

Daniel Chen is a Managing Director at Perella Weinberg Partners. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Chen was a Senior Vice President at China Investment Corporation. Previously, he was an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Sullivan and Cromwell LLP and Allen & Overy LLP. Mr. Chen received a LL.B. from Nanjing University, a Master of Laws from the University of International Business and Economics and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School.
