APVIA (2012) PV ASIA PACIFIC EXPO willbe held at Marina Bay Sands

APVIA (2012) PVAP Expo, hosted by the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA), together with Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) and Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) will be held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on October 22 - 24, 2012. The event is also supported by Energy Market Authority (EMA), Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB)

APVIA (2012) PV ASIA PACIFIC EXPO is one of the key activities in the Singapore International Energy week (SIEW). The event brings together the World's leading PV Companies from all around the World: REC, WIRSOL, SUNTECH, YINGLI, the Republic PHOENIX, GCL, YEH BROTHERS, JA SOLAR, TEL, SCHMID, HERAEUS, MANZ, and OCI in showcasing the advanced PV industry technology, sophisticated PV equipment, materials,batteries, operations, production, integration, and the emerging PV technologies and its applications.

 

The key events during APVIA (2012) PV Asia Pacific Expo are:

  •  Ministers of Energy and PV industry leaders (CEO) dialogue,
  •  Global PV Financial Summit,
  •  Photovoltaic industry Scientist and Leaders (CTO) dialogue.

 

This is a unique opportunity to have the CEOs, CFOs & the CTOs of the PV industry gather in Singapore for an exchange of ideas and insights and to jointly promote sustainable energy.

APVIA (2012) PV ASIA PACIFIC EXPO will be inviting Energy Ministers from India, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Korea, Japan and China to attend the event. As these countries are focusing on developing sustainable energy especially in the solar PV industry; we hope the respective Energy Ministers will share their views and insights on policies and trend.

Held in conjunction with APVIA (2012) PVAP Expo is the inaugural "Global PV Financial Summit". The summit will focus around the core global PV theme which will include, topics such as enhancing the enterprise's financing capacity, promoting solar power plant construction and financing in Asia, enhancing the quality of photovoltaic equipment and systems, upgrading of the existing standards system, and the important role of financial institutions in providing a stable and guaranteed network system for the Asia Pacific region. Concurrently, there will be a dialogue session among the financial institutions and the PV Industry leaders - "Financial Institution and PV industry leaders (CFO) dialogue".

Due to the great response from last year event; PV Asia Pacific Conference 2012 will be held again. Professor Joachim LUTHER of Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) and Professor Martin GREEN of the University of New South Wales, Australia, the Honorary Chairmen of the event will be attending the event together with Professor Armin Aberle, CEO, Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), the Executive Chairman of this event

PV Asia Pacific Conference 2012 has invited the most renowned scientists in the PV industry. They are:

  •  Professor Stefan Winter of the Germany Federal Institute of physics and Technology (PTB),
  •  Professor Stephen WITTKOPF of Switzerland Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts,
  •  Professor Christophe BALLIF of Switzerland Institute for Micro-engineering,
  •  Professor Andrew Blakers of Australian National University, Australia Solar Energy Research Institute,
  •  Dr Rob STEEMAN, Vice President of Renewable Energy Company.

 

These experts will attend the event and engage in a discussion called "Photovoltaic Industry Scientist and Leader (CTO) dialogue" where they will discuss and share insights on the developments of the PV industry.
