PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The return to growth is now confirmed for the packaging sector. The September 2011 Packaging Observatory statistics show an upswing in production forecasts for the large majority of industrial sectors.

With the sales launch of the exhibition's 40th session now in full swing some 13 months before EMBALLAGE 2012, due to take place from 19 to 22 November 2012 at Paris Nord Villepinte France, the outlook is definitely bright.

For Véronique Sestrières, Exhibition Director:
"The 2011 Packaging Observatory gives a positive outlook for the sector as concerns its medium-term growth prospects: prudent investment, enterprising R&D policies, market diversification and service development.

The favourable context is mirrored in our bookings: nearly 600 exhibitors have already registered or are in the process of registration. This represents 53% of the exhibition area. The international exhibitor base - where we already anticipate excellent progress by countries such as Turkey, China, Taiwan, and Korea - was the quickest to register. France, Italy and Germany maintain their positions as Top 3.

We can see that our clients are convinced that a trade exhibition, and EMBALLAGE in particular, is an effective medium. The opportunity of increasing their business contacts by 50% in 4 days obviously weighed heavily in the commercial balance."

An exhibition for each industry!

EMBALLAGE has clearly delineated sectors to make the decision-maker's task easier when visiting and to highlight all the industry's know-how:

  • The Food and Beverages & Liquids sector, the most visited at the show, houses more than 400 specialist machinery and packaging suppliers.
  • The beauty, luxury and health professions, covering 14% of user visitors (+10,000 decision-makers), have the opportunity to meet 200 packaging and machinery manufacturers.
  • Other industries, such as the automobile, construction and engineering, consumer goods sectors, are represented by 300 exhibitors.

Also noteworthy is the presence of packaging-derived services for all types of industries (marking, coding, raw materials, labels, printing, etc.) and of national and international pavilions.

EMBALLAGE aims to act as a sales, sourcing and inspirational hub for each industry.

At the heart of packaging innovation
On the strength of the 2010 Pack Innovation event, spotlighting some 50 innovations, discovered by more than 18,000 visitors, EMBALLAGE 2012 once again sets its sights on packaging innovation by highlighting the trends of tomorrow.
