SEOUL, South Korea--()--‘Gold Tongue Sole’, a half-dry fish product of Korea’s Ariul Fish LLC, is popular among working moms who prefer simple and easy to prepare meals due to busy life.

They are hesitant to go to restaurants due to the COVID-19 pandemic and face difficulty in deciding the menu for preparing meals at home every day.

Half-dry ‘gold tongue soles’ from Ariul Fish turn into an attractive main dish when their front and rear sides are yellowly grilled in an oiled pan. Containing less moisture as they are dried after removing innards, half-dry fishes are free from burning and take a shorter time in cooking. As they are properly salted, it is not needed to add salt.

Being caught mainly on the west coast of Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do in Korea, tongue soles are flat fishes that belong to the red tongue sole family. It contains a variety of nutrients, such as protein and minerals, with less smell and a fresh taste.

“Containing plenty of calcium and ingredients that help the absorption of calcium as well as iron, tongue soles help people prevent osteoporosis and enhance the health of bone,” said a manager at Ariul Fish. “As it is effective in numerous aspects, intake of tongue sole will be beneficial in winter when nutrients may be insufficient.”

In 2012, Ariul Fish registered ‘Love Sea-Gold Tongue Sole’ as a trademark with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. Having obtained the HACCP certification and selected as the Clean Factory by the Korea Gov., the company is assuredly focusing on quality management.
