Hong Kong (9th February, 2017) – The first ever carnival’s GTI karaoke competition in Hong Kong held at The AIA Great European Carnival has just closed with over 1400 eligible contestants signed up. Five finalists are being shortlisted and their videos will be uploaded on the Carnival’s official Facebook page for public votes starting at 8pm tonight! The star who wins the competition will take home a Volkswagen GTI Drivers Edition and the announcement will be made at the Carnival’s live stage on the Carnival’s closing date 12th this Sunday at 8pm!
The Carnival GTI karaoke competition was brought to this year’s Carnival for the first time by the Carnival and Volkswagen to bring visitors a brand new and dynamic experience. Responses have been overwhelmingly enthusiastic and the panel of judges of The AIA Great European Carnival and Volkswagen have shortlisted five finalists out of over 1400 eligible contestants. The five finalists will be announced on the Carnival’s official facebook page tonight and public voting begins at 8pm until the 12th this Sunday 7pm. The one which gets most LIKES will be the winner drives a Volkswagen GTI Edition home. The competition announcement will be made this Sunday on the Carnival’s live stage at 8pm.

ABOUT THE GREAT EUROPEAN CARNIVAL (TGEC)
The Great European Carnival Ltd (TGEC) is the producer of the annual Hong Kong event called The AIA Great European Carnival. The Great European Carnival takes place between December and February each year, on the Central Harbourfront Event Space. The event features amusement rides, carnival skill games, seasonal markets and performances on a community stage.
