LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Asia House, the centre of expertise on Asia, is delighted to announce that Lord Green of Hurstpierpoint has been appointed as Chairman of Asia House with effect from 1 January 2017.
Current Chairman Sir John Boyd will become Honorary President in recognition of his contributions to Asia House. Sir John assumed the role of Chairman in January 2010. He will retire from the Board on 31 December 2016.
Lord Green joined the Asia House Board of Trustees in 2014. The Board provides governance and strategic direction to the organisation.
Lord Green has extensive international business and governmental experience. He was Minister of State for Trade and Investment from 2011 to 2013, responsible for all matters relating to trade and investment in both the former Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Prior to this, Lord Green was Group Chairman of HSBC from 2006 until 2010.

Lord Green is currently Chairman of the Natural History Museum Board of Trustees. He was made a life peer on 16 November 2010 as Baron Green of Hurstpierpoint.
