PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The explosive growth of connected devices and services in the Internet of Things has created demand for privacy and security. This challenge was addressed at the International Trusted Computing and Cloud Security Summit hosted by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) and TC 260 (China National Security Standards Committee) on May 11, 2016, at the Crowne Plaza Zhongguancun in Beijing, China.
The conference brought together keynotes and technical presentations from experts representing leading-edge technology companies, academic research institutions and government. Presentation topics covered many areas, including international standards, domain-specific implementations, and general cross platform techniques providing practical examples of innovation and adoption of trusted computing in IoT, cloud and applications. The forum provided important perspectives on how new developments in trusted computing will influence enterprise adoption, consumer protection and products.
“It was very exciting to have so many expert speakers participating in this forum to share their visions and strategies around trusted computing,” said Jing de Jong Chen, vice president TCG. “We have worked closely with leaders of both international and domestic trusted computing communities in China to identify the most relevant topics to promote collaboration in emerging areas of security including IoT and cloud security.”
Since 2009, TCG’s Greater China Regional Forum has been working with Chinese enterprise and academic experts to promote collaborative international trusted computing standards development to address both global and domestic market requirements. The TPM 2.0 specification was approved and released as ISO/IEC 11889:2015 by the International Standards Organization/International Electromechanical Commission in 2015.
