Allied World Global Markets Strengthens Asia Marine Division with the Appointment of Tim Cooke

ZUG, Switzerland--()--Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, AG (NYSE:AWH) announced today that Tim Cooke has been appointed Vice President, Regional Head of Marine, based in Hong Kong. He will report to Bart Grefe, Senior Vice President, Head of Marine, Allied World Global Markets.

Mr. Grefe said, “We are delighted to welcome Tim to our growing team. As we continue to expand our offerings in Asia Pacific, his extensive experience and specialized knowledge of risks in the marine sector will be a tremendous asset to our customers and agency partners.”

Mr. Cooke has 35 years of experience in the marine insurance industry. He has previously held senior management roles in New York and throughout Asia Pacific at Willis and, most recently, at Marsh where he was the regional Managing Director for Marine Cargo.
