Grand Opening of China Hi-Tech Fair 2015

SHENZHEN, China--()--The grand opening ceremony of China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) 2015 was held at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center at 10 a.m. Beijing time on November 16. Xu Qin, Mayor of Shenzhen and Director of the organizing committee of the CHTF, announced the opening of CHTF 2015. Afterwards, three Chinese government officials pressed a 3D printed “Rubik's cube” designed by a young maker to kick off the fair. With the theme of “innovative entrepreneurship, cross-border integration”, the ceremony attracted senior government officials, business leaders and professors, with elaborate formalities reduced to the minimum.

Being a part of CHTF and China's most influential platform in the economic and high-tech domains, China Hi-Tech Forum is reputed for its high-profile speakers, gathering foreign government officials, scientists, entrepreneurs and representatives of Multinational companies to deliver speeches. This year Chen Guoliang, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences; Fred Matiang'i, Cabinet Secretary the Kenyan Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology; Endre Spaller, Vice President of the National Innovation Office of Hungary, along with another 3 famous experts, witnessed the “Opening of China Hi-Tech Forum”. Apart from the grand opening conference, relevant industry issues of the year would be addressed upon a series of theme events, including the typical Capital Market Summit and Start-up & Innovation Summit, as well as the featured New Industry Summit, Internet Finance Summit, and The “Belt and Road” Technological Corporation Summit.

“The world has been going through a new wave of technological revolution and industrial restructuring. The pattern of the world’s innovation has been changing fundamentally. Opportunities and challenges co-exist,” Wan Gang, Deputy Director-General of China's Ministry of Science and Technology, said at China Hi-Tech Forum 2014. Meanwhile, the Chinese government have implemented the strategy of innovation-driven development and worked to commercialize research and development achievements.

Approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China in 1999, China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) is held in Shenzhen from November 16 to 21 every year. It is co-hosted by Ministry of Commerce and other state ministries and Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. It is the largest and most influential Chinese technical exhibition, which is well known as the “No. 1 Technology Show in China”.
