BEIJING -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --

The 5th International Offshore Engineering Technology & Equipment Exhibition (China Maritime) will be held at Beijing New International Exhibition Center on March 26-28, 2015, simultaneously with the 15th China International Offshore Oil & Gas Exhibition (ciooe).

The offshore engineering conference to be held in conjunction with the CM 2015 will address topics like innovation mode of China offshore engineering equipment industry, analysis & prospect of offshore engineering market, and insights of the deep-water oil & gas field development engineering mode of South China Sea.

In 2014, CM and ciooe together gathered 1,800 exhibitors from 65 countries and regions, including 46 Fortune 500 companies and 16 international delegations, with a combined exhibition area of 90,000 square meters and a total of 65,000 visitors. Among the exhibitors were well-renowned companies and institutions such as DNV, Panama Maritime Authority, Rosneft, Baker Hughes, NOV, GE, CAMERON, and Schneider.

Among visitors to China Maritime 2014 were the world’s leading offshore support vessel owners such as Ulstein (Norway), Bourbon (France), McDermott (US), Icon Offshore (Malaysia), POSH Semco (Singapore), Bhagwan Marine (Australia), COSCO, COSL, CSTanker, Sinotrans-CSC and Cosco-Shipyard.

“On this excellent exhibition platform, we are exhibiting our latest design and products. It helps us accumulate valuable experiences in participating in the relevant offshore engineering events,” said WuQiang, deputy general manager of CSSC.

“Exhibiting at CM is our first step to further exploring China market. We believe that there will be more companies from Panama getting involved in China market in the future. And we also welcome more companies from China to do business in Panama,” said Ana Raquel Henriquez, Vice Minister of Foreign Trade at the booth of Panama Maritime Authority.

“This time we are mainly exhibiting offshore rigs and special vessels. We have welcomed many professional visitors and also met some ship owners, which is very good,” said a representative from CIMF RAFFLES.

It is estimated that in the next five years, the world’s annual demand for offshore engineering equipment will be worth between $60 billion and 75 billion. China is expected to invest between RMB 250 billion and 300 billion in offshore engineering equipment manufacturing in the coming five years.
