Kettering University Officials Hosting Open Houses in China

FLINT, Mich.--()--Students from some of the top schools in China and Malaysia will get the opportunity to meet officials from Kettering University, the No. 1 ranked Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and No. 3 ranked Mechanical Engineering university in the United States according to U.S. News and World Report, during information sessions in three cities over the next two weeks.

The information sessions are:

  • From 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 5 in the Topaz Room of The Peninsula Hotel, Beijing, China
  • From 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 10 in the Fleurie Room of the Hotel Sofitel Hyland, Shanghai, China
  • From 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 12 in the Pahang Room of the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with Kettering University admissions representatives, find out about the university’s growing international student population, learn about the many successful Kettering University alumni, including Matt Tsien, a 1981 graduate and the current president of General Motors China, and learn about the many new and exciting initiatives underway at the university.

“China is a manufacturing and automotive giant with many students interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers,” said Kip Darcy, vice president of marketing, communication and enrollment at Kettering University. “As a highly-ranked Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering university, as well as the only university requiring all students to do paid co-ops in leading industry positions, we believe the experiential-based education we offer students aligns well with the interests of potential college students in China.”
