BEIJING—(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 11th Asia Gas Congress will be held on May 29-30, 2014 in Beijing china. The theme of this congress is meeting demand building in the tremendous transformation of the Asian gas market.

According to IEA, the Asian natural gas market is the fastest-growing gas market worldwide, and is expected to become the second-largest by 2015, with 790 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas demand. Asia is already home to the world's fastest-growing gas market and is expected to become the world's second-largest natural gas market by 2015.

And India Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said in 2014, “Major buyers of LNG in Asia should come together to demand a fair pricing mechanism for gas being imported from outside the continent.” It is so clear that Asia gas market is amplified and be improving day by day. Besides, China’s energy demand will soar as the country continues to modernize and develop. Chinese policy makers have identified clean energy as a top policy priority going forward and natural gas is one energy source garnering much attention. And through the notice about adjusting the natural gas pricing mechanism announced by the National Development and Reform Commission, the situation of very low gas price should be changed, the role of governments is wanted to be instead of focusing on price regulation along the value chain, but maintain and supervise competitive market conditions.

What’s more, Martin Wilkes, principal adviser at RISC Advisory in Perth, said there was a ''real possibility'' Australian LNG could be delivered to Asia at lower prices than US LNG, depending on the future direction of US gas prices and global crude oil prices.

It is so exciting that Asia gas market will boom with the environment of more enormous demand and more cheap output.
