Quintiq, a global leader in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O), hosted the Quintiq Supply Chain Executive Seminar, which brought together three key industries at the strategic EMEA location to discuss supporting supply chain growth through responsive and flexible strategies.
A record number of 60 executive participants from 29 leading logistics, metals and manufacturing companies attended the seminar held at the Hyatt Regency Düsseldorf, Germany, on June 18, 2013. The annual event has become the exclusive venue for logistics, production and supply chain professionals to discuss cutting-edge technology and techniques in SCP&O in order to keep ahead of the competition.
Attendees received presentations from a number of Quintiq customers, including Vlisco, P&O Ferrymasters, Saint-Gobain Glass Logistics and MCB Nederland, all of whom spoke about the SCP&O puzzles they faced and how Quintiq’s platforms helped solve them.
Quintiq’s Supply Chain Executive Seminar also consisted of presentations and demonstrations from Quintiq consultants and leading supply chain and logistics industry experts from the academic field. Professor Joachim Schmidt of the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen delivered a presentation titled “Supply Chain Vision”, which focused on pivotal topics such as ‘robustness versus efficiency’.
