SHANGHAI--(Business Wire)--In 2013, China is still the center of coal import in Asia Pacific, even in the world. According to the data released by China’s General Administration of Customs, China imported 136.17 million tons of coal in the first five months of the year, rising 20.9% year-on-year.

Due to the worsening European debt crisis and the slow recovery of European economy, it’s quite improbable for their demand for coal to revive in a short period. Comparatively, other major economy bodies, including China, Japan, South Korea and India, with their large appetite for coal, have become the pillar for both traditional and new coal exporters, like Indonesia, Australia, Russia, South Africa and America, etc.

Against this background, CBI BIZ, together with the Indonesian Coal Mining Association and Mongolian National Mining Association, will hold the 7th Asia Pacific Coal Trading and Investment Outlook 2013 on Sep.11th – 13th in Qingdao, China. This event will gather coal buyers and suppliers from China, Japan, South Korea, India, America, etc. to analyze the current market dynamics and discuss solutions to the current difficulties.

Hot Topics to Be Covered:

  • With China’s economic growth slowing down, how will users’ demand for coal be affected?
  • As the lowering price of domestic coal cannot affect the popularity of imported coal, what will coal producers do to save their pie of profits?
  • Is restriction on low-calorie coal a trend or just a bailout?
  • How will the prosperity of shale gas in America influence coal companies’ export strategy?
  • What are the coal procurement plans of traditional coal importers like China, Japan and South Korea?

Event Highlights:

  • 200+ coal companies to participate
  • 15+ industry authorities to share the most valuable insights
  • 8+ hours of face-to-face exchange, networking and negotiation
  • 10+ exhibition booths to showcase corporate products and services
  • Focusing on coal-consuming countries with largest growth potential
  • Meeting the most active and representative coal supplying countries
