Silicon Image Expands Shanghai Research and Development Center to Serve Growing China and Global Customer Base

SHANGHAI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Silicon Image (NASDAQ: SIMG), a leading provider of HD connectivity solutions today announced the expansion of its Shanghai research and development (R&D) center to support the increased demand for the Company’s mobile technologies in China and other Asia-Pacific regions. The expanded Silicon Image Electronics Technology Shanghai facility, which also functions as the head office for Silicon Image in China, employs approximately 150 people in engineering, sales and support positions. Engineering efforts at this location are focused on advanced connectivity technologies for mobile and consumer electronics devices. Silicon Image also operates a sales office in Shenzhen, China. The Shanghai R&D center is one of three world-class engineering sites operated by Silicon Image worldwide; two other centers are located in Sunnyvale, CA, USA and Hyderabad, India.
