LONDON and KUALA LUMPUR -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Process Systems Enterprise (PSE), providers of the gPROMS® process modelling platform products and ModelCare® model-based engineering services to the process industries, and MECIP Global Engineers Sdn Bhd (MECIP), the Malaysian engineering consultancy company, today announced the appointment of MECIP as agent for PSE's technology and Model-Based Engineering (MBE) services in Malaysia and Brunei.

PSE's gPROMS is the world's leading high-fidelity predictive modelling environment, and combines traditional flowsheeting functions with advanced custom modelling capabilities. It represents a new generation of modelling technology for optimising design and operation of process plants, accelerating innovation, managing technology risk and generating intellectual property (IP).

gPROMS is widely applied throughout the chemical, petrochemical, energy, power, utilities and pharmaceuticals sectors as well as for carbon capture and storage (CCS) applications, in particular to optimise design and operation of reaction, polymerisation, crystallisation and other complex processes.
