“Formula One is an ideal platform and BMW the perfect partner.”

LIMASSOL, Cyprus--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The next test in Barcelona, Spain taking place next week will see the BMW Sauber F1.09 out on track with a brand-new partner on board: world leading Forex broker: FxPro (www.FxPro.com), the financial services provider specialising in Currency Pairs, Stocks, Futures and Precious Metals. The outing will display the prominent sponsor spaces on the front wing and exterior mirrors of the team cars. The company logo will also appear on the drivers’ helmets and overalls, as well as on BMW Sauber team clothing, trucks and pit equipment.

BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen comments: “We are delighted about our new collaboration with FxPro. Particularly in economically challenging times such as the present, it is a great achievement for our BMW Sauber F1 Team and for Formula One to have gained another strong partner.”

Ilya Holeu, Marketing Manager of FxPro, sums up the rationale behind this broad-scale involvement over numerous years: “In Formula One we see an ideal platform and in the BMW Sauber F1 Team the perfect partner to collaborate at a global level. The opportunities for both brands to succeed in their expert field can only be improved by this partnership. About the BMW Sauber F1 Team

Since the BMW Sauber F1 Team came into being in 2006, it has claimed 15 podium places – two in its debut year of 2006, two in season 2007, and eleven in 2008. The best individual result was the one-two win at the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix (Robert Kubica ahead of Nick Heidfeld). In 2008 the BMW Sauber F1 Team also claimed a pole position (Kubica) and two fastest race laps (Heidfeld). The team finished third in the 2008 FIA Constructors' World Championship.

Despite fundamental changes to the rules of the Formula One game going into 2009, the BMW Sauber F1 Team is refusing to waver from its ambitious goal: to be up there fighting for the title in its fourth season on the F1 grid.
