SHANGHAI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--H3C Technologies, a leading global supplier of IP-based products and solutions, has selected QorIQ multicore processor technology from Freescale Semiconductor for a line of next-generation multi-service routing switches.

China-based H3C is a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Company and a top global provider of IP-based products and solutions. The company plans to leverage the high performance, energy efficiency and ultra integration of QorIQ processor technology from Freescale to develop next-generation networking equipment designed to address rising worldwide IP traffic rates.

The design win underscores the broad acceptance and momentum Freescale has established in key Chinese networking equipment markets with its QorIQ family of multicore processors.
