EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nordson EFD, a division of Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) has been named a winner in the “Best Places to Work in Rhode Island 2010” competition conducted by the Providence Business News.

The purpose of the program is to recognize those employers who create positive work environments and provide good benefits, training, and advancement opportunities to their employees.

Employees were asked to complete a confidential engagement and satisfaction survey consisting of 72 multiple choice questions that ranked categories such as corporate culture, work environment, compensation and relationships with supervisors. Company policies and benefits, including hiring and employment practices, insurance programs, retirement accounts and profit sharing programs, were also evaluated by an independent third party.
