HONG KONG--()--On the evening of August 23, 2019 (Beijing time), CEHL (stock code: 03989. hk) announced the company's interim performance results for 2019 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The interim performance results showed that the CEHL’s operating performance maintained strong growth and the interim performance in 2019 was bright.

As of June 30, 2019, CEHL’ s assets totaled 16.264 billion yuan, up 9% in six months, realizing the appreciation of state-owned assets. In the first half of 2019, the operating income was 2.837 billion yuan, up 27% year-on-year, of which the construction income increased significantly. The construction income under the domestic franchise was 1.057 billion yuan, up 27% year-on-year, while the operating income under the domestic franchise was 191 million yuan, up 97% year-on-year. CEHL achieved a total profit of 345 million yuan in the first half of the year, increasing by 77% year-on-year, and a total net profit attributable to the owner of the parent company of 171 million yuan for the first half of the year, increasing by 99% year-on-year.

The company is positioned as an integrated investment and operation service provider leading smart and green cities and has achieved excellent market expansion results.

As a state-owned enterprise with environmental protection as its core, CEHL is positioned as a comprehensive service provider for urban investment and operation. Since its establishment in 1995, it has taken environmental protection, infrastructure, real estate and financial services as its four main businesses and has actively expanded its cultural and creative sectors. So far, in the environmental protection industry, CEHL has two listed companies and one newly listed company on the third board. Its subsidiary companies have exceeded 10 billion yuan in revenue and their total assets exceed 70 billion yuan.

As of June 30, 2019, CEHL has reserved 73 projects in China with a total investment of 18.7 billion yuan. The total design scale is about 15.99 million tons of domestic waste and 3.2 million pieces of electrical and electronic equipment dismantled annually. In the first half of 2019, CEHL successfully obtained 10 waste treatment projects in China, with a total investment of about 2.87 billion yuan. The newly-designed annual treatment of domestic garbage was 2.265 million tons, and the daily processing scale was about 6,300 tons. What’s more, CEHL also actively seeks opportunities for overseas investment. In the Belt and Road countries, we actively cooperate with local companies and seek cooperation.

CEHL has made remarkable achievements in the fields of waste incineration power generation, kitchen and kitchen waste disposal, and hazardous waste disposal.

The Nanchang Quanling Domestic Waste Incineration Power Plant Project is the first high-level representative project of CEHL and the first domestic waste incineration power generation project introduced by Jiangxi Province. Now, the project handles 1,100 to 1,400 tons of garbage per day in Nanchang City, 120 million kWh of electricity is connected to the grid every year. The project won the 2018 China Power Quality Engineering Award and the 2018-2019 Construction and Operation Gold Award. The Yangzhou hazardous waste treatment project has officially entered commercial operation, and will further boost performance in the future.

As China vigorously promotes the classification of waste sources, organic waste such as food waste and kitchen waste has risen sharply throughout the country, bringing new opportunities and increments for terminal processing enterprises. Hangzhou Kitchen and Cookery Project and the Yangzhou Kitchen and Cookery Project, which were invested, constructed and operated by CEHL, have started the Phase II of construction work. The governments where Fuzhou Hongmiaoling Food Waste Project and the Ningbo World Bank Loan Food Waste Project lie in are also interested in starting the second phase of the project in advance to realize the treatment of the incremental portion of organic waste in the city, assisting in the classification of waste, and achieving double benefits of better environment and Economic.
