Goodwin Strengthens Asia Practice, Relocates Partner Qing Nian to Hong Kong

HONG KONG--()--Global 50 law firm Goodwin announced today that partner Qing Nian has relocated to its Hong Kong office to join the firm’s Asia Practice. Nian is a member of Goodwin’s Technology & Life Sciences Group.

Nian represents public and private companies, venture capital and private equity firms, and investment banks in capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and buyouts, venture capital and growth equity financings, and general corporate and securities matters. Her clients include energy companies, publishers, travel companies such as Explorica and TripAdvisor, and biotech companies such as Allena Pharmaceuticals, BeiGene, Caliber I.D. and Galapagos, along with leading U.S. and Asia-based financial investors.

A native of China, Nian earned her undergraduate and law degrees at Tsinghua University and University of Hong Kong, respectively. She also earned LL.M and J.D. degrees from Washington University School of Law, where she was a McDonnell Scholar at the McDonnell International Scholars Academy. She has been a member of Goodwin’s Boston office since joining as a summer associate in 2008. In October 2016, Nian became a Goodwin partner.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Nian was a Public Interest Fellow at Medical-Legal Partnership in Boston, where she provided pro bono legal services to low-income families.
