New Regional Forum Invites Organizations to Participate

BEIJING--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Trusted Computing Group (TCG), an industry global standards organization that develops specifications to enable trusted computing worldwide, today announced the formation of the TCG Greater China Regional Forum (GCRF). The announcement was made during a Trusted Computing Day event co-sponsored by TCG and ICICS (the 11th International Conference on Information and Communications Security), in Beijing, China.

To complement tremendous market demand and IT industry growth in the region, GCRF is designed to support the TCG membership in the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan. Building on the success of the TCG Japan Regional Forum (JRF), GCRF will provide another regional chapter in Asia, tasked with defining region-specific requirements and providing technical input on standards to support TCG’s goals of global solutions and interoperability.

The forum will facilitate communication, adoption and promotion of Trusted Computing in the region and enable both technical and market requirements discussions to occur in local languages and in local time zones. The new forum also will facilitate and support regional outreach and collaboration with the greater technical and user communities as well as with researchers and universities. Educational materials, such as white papers, frequently asked questions and presentations, will be translated into Chinese for the use of forum members and non-members.

The TCG Greater China Regional Forum welcomes new members who can contribute to the organization. Interested companies in the region can contact TCG at gcrf_membership@trustedcomputinggroup.org.

A Chinese-language website is available at http://www.trustedcomputinggroup.org/cn.
