ONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Christopher Orchard, CEO of WGP Global has confirmed the appointment of a newly created senior role with David Sohn signing up as Board Director in South Korea.
International corporate advisors WGP Global works with clients across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia. With global headquarters in London, the multi-national consultancy has already established an exciting reputation advising on project finance, IPOs, cross-border transactions, global expansion and corporate acceleration. The firm was launched in 2010 and now has offices in four countries with specialist divisions in technology and gaming, sports and media, Government relations, health and infrastructure.
David Sohn’s remit is to open the WGP Global office in South Korea and manage all operations. His particular focus is to build WGP Global’s reputation in the technology, life sciences, bio-tech and health sectors.
Mr Sohn brings an incredible depth of experience from 25 years of commercialising Korean technologies. Before arriving at WGP Global, he was country manager of Fidelity Investments Korea and Prudential Asset Management Korea. There he led the globalisation of investments whilst helping national institutions follow western management systems such as compliance.
In 2006 he was confirmed as CEO of the Korea Technology Transfer Center (KTTC), a Government agency under the Ministry of Commerce. Mr Sohn is also a regular contributor to CNN and CNBC and a non-executive director of Woori Investment & Securities.
