Mind Candy Launches New Mobile Game World of Warriors™

First major product launch outside of the successful Moshi Monsters brand

LONDON--()--Mind Candy™, the global entertainment company behind the phenomenally successful Moshi Monsters™ franchise, today launches World of Warriors™, an epic adventure and combat strategy game, exclusively on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

An all-new IP, World of Warriors represents the first major product launch for Mind Candy outside of Moshi Monsters. The brand is launching first with a mobile game, and is built with the engaging storylines and rich characters the company is known for.

In World of Warriors, players must amass an army of history’s greatest warriors, including Aztecs, Knights, Vikings, Samurai and hundreds more, to defeat a power-hungry warlord and his evil Skull Army. The game takes players on an epic quest where every warrior comes with their own fascinating backstory, special moves and real-world historical facts. It blends battle and RPG gameplay in a pick-up-and-play experience built to appeal to a wide range of gamers.

“Mind Candy has had a busy few years expanding from a one product company to a family entertainment business with multiple brands: Moshi Monsters, World of Warriors and PopJam, our creative community for kids,” says Michael Acton Smith, Founder of Mind Candy. “World of Warriors is a brilliant new mobile game but the art, characters, and story are so strong we feel it has the potential to develop into a global franchise. Similar to Moshi Monsters, the Warriors game is only the beginning: Mind Candy has signed global deals with Penguin, Topps, Moose, Giochi Preziosi and Flair for products inspired by the rich World of Warriors universe. With trading cards kicking off the consumer products program from April 2015, publishing, toys, apparel and accessories will follow throughout next year with a strong roadmap of digital and entertainment content locked in.

Mind Candy launched its first mobile app in 2010 and the company now has eight mobile apps reaching both kids and adults. World of Warriors is launching worldwide today, localised into multiple languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
