WATERFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Momentive Performance Materials Inc. (MPM) will present two technical papers at UTECH Asia that will introduce new products and explore manufacturing effectiveness with current products. The papers will be delivered during the show, September 3-5 in Shanghai, China.
During the session on rigid polyurethane foams on September 3, Dragon Tong, MPM research engineer, will present “New Silicone Surfactants and Additives Used in Diverse PU Rigid Applications.” His discussion will introduce three new products – Niax* silicone L-6866, Niax silicone Y-16248 and Niax catalyst C-31. These products offer a variety of benefits for rigid foam applications from reducing surface voids and improving insulation performance to enhancing Polyisocyanurate (PIR) formulations for better foam curing and green strength properties.
During the session on polyurethane slab foams on September 4, Jun Zhang, MPM advanced research engineer, will present “New Silicone Surfactants and Processing Additives for Polyurethane Flexible Slabstock Foam.” His discussion will highlight Niax products that offer a variety of benefits for slab foam applications. These products can help manufacturers achieve a more consistent foam quality; impart better flame retardant properties; meet strict automotive specifications for fogging and emissions; and, improve foam softness and durability.
