SINGAPORE--()--ReadySpace, a leading cloud service provider in the Asia-Pacific region, announced that it has expanded its footprint in China by acquiring a majority stake in OGL Network, a Wuhan-based reseller of telecommunications services.

The terms of the deal will allow ReadySpace to acquire over 80 per cent of OGL Network for an undisclosed sum. OGL Network offers UnionPay payment services and software rental services. It also distributes mobile products and services for China Unicom, a leading provider of telecommunications services in China.

OGL Network currently operates a retail store in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei province in central China. The stake in OGL Network will allow ReadySpace to reach out to businesses in one of the world's fastest growing cloud services markets. As part of its commitment to the Chinese market, ReadySpace will also establish a data center in China by the end of this year.

Said Mr David Loke, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, ReadySpace: "Our stake in OGL Network, as well as our upcoming Chinese data center, will help our existing customers with operations in China improve business processes through our cloud services. Chinese companies that are looking to grow their business beyond China will also benefit from ReadySpace's extensive suite of cloud services available across 9 countries in the Asia-Pacific region."

Along with its expansion in China, ReadySpace is extending its partner network to Chinese IT solutions providers. ReadySpace partners in China can expect exclusive access to support and resources that will drive new business opportunities and increased profitability in the red-hot Chinese cloud services market, which is expected to grow from 16.73 billion yuan in 2010 to 750 billion yuan by 2015.

"The support of our partners has been instrumental to ReadySpace's success," said Mr Loke. "We are looking forward to working with more Chinese partners, who can immediately enjoy returns on their investments through industry standard cloud solutions, including a variety of cloud applications, infrastructure services and cloud hosting."

ReadySpace's partner program also supports wholesale partners who prefer to bundle ReadySpace cloud services with their existing products. Partners will have access to a full suite of reseller services such as billing, branding, online store, marketing tools and others.
