MINNEAPOLIS--()--CyberOptics Corporation (NASDAQ: CYBE), a world leader in intelligent inspection and sensing solutions for electronics assembly and semiconductor process equipment, marks a 10 year milestone of worldwide semiconductor market adoption of the WaferSense and ReticleSense measurement portfolio. CyberOptics will showcase the family of measurement devices that provide leveling, gap measurement, robot teaching, vibration measurement and airborne particle detection solutions at the upcoming Semicon China conference and exhibition from March 18 – 20th in Booth #4535, Puritic Shanghai Corporation and Booth #2124, Winifred International Technology Limited at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Shanghai, China.

Semiconductor fabs and OEMs value the accuracy, precision and versatility of the specialized WaferSense and ReticleSense measurement portfolio that enables improvements in fab yields and equipment uptime.

“CyberOptics is well poised to build on our 30 year history of innovation, and 10 year history of WaferSense and ReticleSense market adoption. Our history is a springboard to furthering advancements of our measurement sensor technology platforms to bring new, innovative solutions that address key application needs in the semiconductor industry and other vertical markets that have stringent manufacturing quality and productivity standards,” said Subodh Kulkarni, President and CEO of CyberOptics.

“For 10 years, semiconductor fabs and equipment OEMs have saved significant time and money by using the WaferSense and ReticleSense measurement solutions. Our newest portfolio addition, the ReticleSense Airborne Particle Sensor (APSR) in a reticle shaped form factor, enables equipment engineers to shorten equipment qualification and release to production and maintenance cycles all while reducing expenses. For example, customers have experienced up to 88% time savings, up to 95% reduction in costs and up to 20X the throughput with half the manpower resource requirements using the WaferSense Airborne Particle Sensor (APS) relative to legacy surface scan wafer methods,” said Ferris Chen, Director of Sales for Asia at CyberOptics.

Unlike legacy methods, equipment engineers can quickly locate contamination sources and recognize the effects of cleaning adjustments and repairs in real-time with the wireless, Bluetooth® enabled ReticleSense Airborne Particle Sensor (APSR) and the ParticleView™ software, without opening the tool.

The WaferSense measurement portfolio including the Auto Leveling System (ALS), the Auto Gapping System (AGS), the Auto Vibration System (AVS), the Auto Teaching System (ATS) and the Airborne Particle Sensor (APS) are available in 200mm, 300mm and 450mm wafer sizes. The ReticleSense Airborne Particle Sensor (APRS) and ReticleSense Auto Leveling System (ALSR) products are available in a reticle shaped form factor.
