SYDNEY--()--lynda.com, an online education company with more than four million individual and enterprise members worldwide, announced today that it has expanded its sales territory to Southeast Asia. Its video tutorial library—which provides the latest training in computer software, design, business skills and many other topics relevant in fast-changing work and school settings—will now be offered to corporate and academic institutions in Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia.

“Institutions worldwide are turning to lynda.com to provide employees and students with access to a comprehensive, ever-growing library of online courses that help them achieve their personal and professional goals,” said Mark Fletcher, head of APAC sales for lynda.com. “The lynda.com library offers an alternative to sending employees to expensive off-site seminars or in-person training with consultants, by allowing members to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule.”

The expanded Southeast Asian sales territory builds on the existing lynda.com Australian and New Zealand sales operation, which serves and supports more than 350 corporate, government and academic clients in those regions. Based in California, the company expanded into Australia and New Zealand in 2012. Enterprise members in APAC include top-tier corporations and renowned academic institutions such as Optus, Fuji Xerox, Fonterra, News Corp Australia, Tata Consultancy, The University of Sydney and Auckland University of Technology. Other global companies that use the online video library include Google, Yahoo!, Apple and Adobe.

Singapore Polytechnic allows its students to access to more than 2,300 lynda.com courses from libraries on campus and also provides teachers and faculty with tutorials on subjects like web design, programming, productivity, photography and animation, as well as software like Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
