TA Associates Announces Global Staff Promotions

BOSTON -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --

TA Associates, a leading global growth private equity firm, today announced promotions of eight staff members in TA’s Boston, Hong Kong, London, Menlo Park and Mumbai offices, effective January 1, 2014.

Christopher Parkin was promoted to Managing Director from Director. He is based in the London office of TA Associates (UK), LLP, focusing on investments in financial services and consumer-facing companies in Europe. Mr. Parkin is a member of the Board of Directors of Cath Kidston, DNCA Finance, Internationella Engelska Skolan, M and M Direct and Zadig & Voltaire, and formerly served on the Boards of Fotolia and Jupiter Fund Management (LSE: JUP). Mr. Parkin received a BA, with Honors, in Mathematics from Oxford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Edward F. Sippel was promoted to Managing Director and Co-Head of Asia in the Hong Kong office of TA Associates Asia Pacific Ltd., focusing on investments in the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Sippel advised on TA’s 2013 investment in Nintex Group, as well as TA’s earlier investments in Forgame (HKSE: 0484.HK) and SpeedCast. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Nintex and SpeedCast. Mr. Sippel holds a BA from Georgetown University.

Harry D. Taylor was promoted to Managing Director from Director. He is based in TA’s Boston office, focusing on investments in technology and technology-based services companies. Mr. Taylor led TA’s 2013 investment in Nintex Group. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Nintex, as well as Cosentry, e-Rewards, SoftWriters and Viewpoint. Mr. Taylor formerly served on the Boards of IntraLinks (NYSE: IL) and Numara Software. He received an AB, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in Economics from Hamilton College, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Naveen Wadhera was promoted to Director and Co-Head of Asia in the Hong Kong office of TA Associates Asia Pacific Ltd. He focuses on investments across Asia and manages the India operations of TA Associates Advisory Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Wadhera advised on TA’s 2013 investment in Fractal Analytics and is a member of the Board of Directors of Fractal Analytics, as well as Dr Lal PathLabs and Micromax Informatics. He also advised on TA’s earlier investments in IndiaIdeas.com (BillDesk) and Tega Industries. Mr. Wadhera holds a BSc in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

Ashutosh Agrawal was promoted to Director from Principal. He is based in TA’s Menlo Park office, focusing on investments in technology and technology-based services companies. Mr. Agrawal led TA’s 2013 investment in Prometheus Group. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Prometheus Group, as well as Viewpoint. Mr. Agrawal received a BS, summa cum laude, in Computer Science and an MEng in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA as a Baker Scholar with High Distinction from Harvard Business School.

Jason P. Werlin was promoted to Director from Principal. He is based in TA’s Menlo Park office, focusing on investments in technology and technology-based services companies. Mr. Werlin co-sponsored TA’s 2013 investment in Accruent. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Accruent, as well as Aicent and DigiCert, and formerly served on the Boards of Aurora Networks, CyOptics and Logistics Health. Mr. Werlin received a BA, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in International Studies from Colby College, and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.

Jeffrey A. Del Papa was promoted to Principal from Senior Vice President. He is based in TA’s Boston office, focusing on investments in business services, technology-enabled services, and energy and industrial companies. Mr. Del Papa co-sponsored TA’s 2013 investment in Towne Park and is a member of its Board of Directors. He holds a BS, magna cum laude, in Finance from Babson College, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Dietrich Hauptmeier was promoted to Principal from Senior Vice President. He is based in the London office of TA Associates (UK), LLP, focusing on investments in companies in Germany and other European markets. Mr. Hauptmeier led TA’s 2013 investment in Onlineprinters GmbH and is a member of its Board of Directors. He graduated in Business Mathematics from Technical University Berlin.
