HomePlug® Alliance Brings Connected Home Summits to China in 2013

A delegation of industry leaders from HomePlug Alliance and influential government officials will be discussing the importance of HomePlug technologies in China during a series of connected home summits.

PORTLAND, Ore.--()--The HomePlug® Alliance (www.homeplug.org), the worldwide industry group for powerline communications networking, today announced HomePlug Alliance will be hosting Connected Home Summits in three locations in China – November 11 in Beijing, November 13 in Shanghai, and November 15 in Shenzhen. HomePlug technology enables a home’s electrical wires to distribute broadband Internet, HD video, digital music and smart energy applications.

Each session will include a delegation of keynote speakers who will be presenting on the latest advancements in HomePlug technology for network communications using the home’s electrical wiring. Exclusive to the summit in Beijing will be a panel which will include China Government Officials and will be moderated by CWW’s Editor-in-Chief Yang Hai-Feng, discussing how HomePlug’s interoperable technologies address China’s growing needs for high speed broadband and smart grid applications.

With millions of HomePlug AV products being deployed each year, products based on the next-generation HomePlug AV2 standard being available, and the recently announced nVoy Program for hybrid home networking, this is the chance for Chinese companies and media to gain insight into these leading-edge technology advancements. There will also be a presentation dedicated to HomePlug’s Smart Grid / Smart Energy technology for applications such as smart appliances, home automation and electric vehicle connectivity.
