Simplified Update Process Drives Quicker Adoption of New Software and Increased Subscriber Satisfaction;

innoPath to Exhibit at Qualcomm Reference Design Summit in Shenzhen, China, June 20, 2013

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --

innoPath Software, the leading provider of technology driving the support and care of mobile devices, today announced the availability of mobileMD Service Station. innoPath’s mobileMD platform, Service Station delivers new capabilities for mobile Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that want to speed updates to their mobile devices. An integral part of innoPath’s mobileMD Service station solution is innoPath’s update client technology, which is compliant with OMA-DM FUMO standards and leverages secure package signing. By leveraging the update client along with “always-on” SaaS update service, smartphone and tablet device OEMs will be able to quickly and confidently push fixes, new functionality, and the latest OS versions directly to mobile subscriber smart and m2m devices, ultimately reducing operational costs.

Select processors now come pre-integrated with innoPath’s mobileMD Service Station client, which comes pre-certified and designed to work out-of-the-box with no additional customization. This provides mobileMD customers with FOTA-ready chipsets that saves them the effort of porting and certifying the client, as well as the costs associated with it. Additionally, the client is available to manufacturers at zero cost. Manufacturers of smartphone, tablet and m2m devices benefit through the implementation of FOTA solutions while significantly speeding up time to market.

“As our mobile world continues to evolve and grow, market leaders realize that the user experience and manageability of mobile devices is a key differentiator for success,” said John Fazio, President and CEO, innoPath. “mobileMD Service Station enables mobile OEMs to meet the needs of twenty-first century mobility by allowing them to deliver new functionality, along with the latest fixes and security patches, to end-user devices in short timeframes. By integrating innoPath’s client technology onto variety of different processors, we enable OEMs to future-proof their devices with the advantages of software update services over-the-air.”

innoPath will be exhibiting at the Qualcomm Reference Design Summit 2013 in Shenzhen, China, on June 20, 2013. Anyone interested in meeting for an in-depth look at the mobileMD solution, including device OEMs, mobile network operators, and reporters, are invited to contact: Lei Zhang at lezhang@innopath.com
