World Leader in Manufacture of Satellite Modems to Design Globalstar Multimode Asset-Tracking Product and Next-Generation Satellite Data and Voice Module

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quake Global, Inc., a world leader in the manufacture of satellite data modems for tracking, monitoring, and controlling industrial assets, announced today that it has signed an agreement to design, manufacture, and deliver a new line of Globalstar integrated multimode data modems and Globalstar’s next-generation satellite data and voice module (SDVM). Globalstar, Inc. is the world’s largest provider of mobile satellite voice and data services to businesses, governments, and consumers.

“We are excited about the opportunities that our new association with Globalstar brings to our company,” said Polina Braunstein, President and CEO of Quake Global. “The addition of the Globalstar Network to Quake’s product line will greatly expand Quake’s ability to offer its customers reliable, robust, and accurate processing and transmittal of asset-related information in global markets previously unserved by Quake. Also, for the first time, Quake will be able to offer satellite voice capability in addition to its well-established data transmittal services. Quake Global is proud of its position as a leading designer and manufacturer of satellite communicators for many global OEMs. The addition of the Globalstar Network will provide a whole new category of efficient and cost-effective choices. Globalstar’s large data capacity, nominal latency, and voice capabilities are all features that certain customers require, and now we can meet their needs.”

Quake expects to deliver its first model of Globalstar products by the end of 2009, and will introduce a complete line of Globalstar communicators in 2010.
