Rockwell Automation Names New President for Asia-Pacific Region

MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tom O’Reilly is appointed president of Rockwell Automation’s Asia Pacific Region.

O’Reilly, most recently managing director, Greater China, will report to John McDermott, senior vice president, Global Sales and Marketing. He will be responsible for the company’s growth and performance strategy and growing market share in this important region.

“Tom’s extensive experience in the Asia-Pacific Region makes him the ideal candidate for this important leadership role,” said McDermott.

O’Reilly has 28 years of service with Rockwell Automation and 16 very successful years in sales and country leadership roles in Japan, Korea and China.

“His long-term record of building high-performance teams and developing leaders in emerging markets will be critical to achieving our future business objectives in the region,” emphasized McDermott.

The Asia-Pacific region contributed $942 million in sales during the company’s fiscal year 2012, and has more than 3,800 employees. The region includes greater China, India, South Pacific, Southeast Asia, Korea and Japan with more than 80 sales and support locations, six manufacturing centers, two R&D centers, two software development centers, seven system engineering centers, four OEM application development centers, and seven competency centers.
