Toshiba Launches CMOS Image Sensor for Cellular Phones, Smartphones and Tablets

ISP embedded 2-megapixel, 1.75 micrometer product added to the lineup

TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO:6502) has launched a new 1.75 micrometer, 2-megapixel CMOS image sensor for mobile devices such as cellular phones, smartphones and tablets. The new product, "T4K28" is now in mass production and will be on the market from the end of January.

T4K28 has an embedded ISP (image signal processor) and provides both parallel and serial (CSI-2 single lane) output, ensuring flexibility in the development of mobile devices. The aspect ratio is 4:3. The sensor can be supplied as chips, on wafers or in a chip scale packages (CSP) on request. All versions are manufactured within the Toshiba group.
