A New Voice for the Consumer Electronics Industry

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, owner and producer of the International CES®, is re-launching its flagship publication to highlight innovation in consumer technology, policy and business as well as the entrepreneurs who continually revitalize the industry. The new magazine, It Is Innovation (i3), along with its companion mobile app and website, will focus on the latest innovation across design, engineering, software and manufacturing as well as unique business, retail and marketing platforms. I3 also will discuss the politics and policies in Washington, D.C., that impact innovation and the global technology industry.

"I3 celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit in the inventions and start-ups that drive the market, as well as the ideas, strategies and leadership skills that make the CE industry exceptional," said Cindy Stevens, senior director of publications, CEA. "In this way, i3 supports and advances CEA's mission of promoting innovation throughout the global consumer technology industry. I3 speaks directly to our primary readers - the professionals who design, manufacture, buy, distribute and analyze products and trends for the $206 billion CE industry - the core audience that attends the International CES."

The inaugural issue of i3 will feature stories on ultra high-definition television, start-ups at Eureka Park, the latest technology in the connected car, the next-generation of wireless beyond 4G and a look at Google's "fiberhoods" in Kansas City. It also includes a 2013 public policy forecast, an excerpt from CEA's new book authored by Gary Shapiro, Ninja Innovation: The Ten Killer Strategies of the World's Most Successful Businesses and personal accounts from CEA's Innovation Movement members. I3 is the successor to the award-winning CE Vision magazine, which was published by CEA for more than 15 years. CE Vision's final issue, for November/December 2012, was recently published.

With an average circulation of more than 64,000 print and digital subscribers, i3 will reach key CE decision-makers around the world.
