Major Global Retailers Now Using v-GO Access Accelerator Suite

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Passlogix®, Inc. announced today that it is rapidly expanding its footprint in the retail industry, selling more than 2 million licenses for its v-GO® Access Accelerator Suite to some of the world’s largest retailers in the last two years alone. The growth reflects retailers’ rising recognition of the value of enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) and related access solutions in improving user productivity, enterprise security and regulatory compliance readiness.

The v-GO suite includes the industry’s #1 enterprise single sign-on solution as well as complementary authentication and provisioning enablement solutions. It has sold more than 15 million licenses to organizations around the globe, including those in the finance, government, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, and oil and gas sectors.

This widespread adoption has been driven in part by v-GO’s ability to eliminate the security gaps, user frustration and help desk costs associated with the use of multiple application passwords. Other catalysts include v-GO’s ability to securely issue and track shared credentials; facilitate compliance with regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, HIPAA and Gramm-Leach Bliley through comprehensive user audit trails; and expedite identity management deployments by quickly reconciling UserIDs to their rightful owners.

“It is noteworthy that some of the most respected retailers in the world are investing in our technology at a time when they are spending almost nothing on other IT infrastructure projects because of the global economic crisis,” said Marc Boroditsky, CEO and President of Passlogix. “That’s because a relatively small investment in v-GO can have an almost immediate impact on business operations.”

v-GO Single Sign-On (v-GO SSO), the cornerstone of the v-GO suite, enables users to access any Windows, mainframe or Web application with a single Windows logon rather than remembering, managing and inputting different passwords for each account. v-GO is also the first enterprise single sign-on solution to extend single sign-on to remote, mobile and temporary users, including home computers, physicians’ offices that require access to hospital networks, and third-party partners or contractors.

The v-GO suite also includes solutions that automate user sign-on and sign-off of kiosks at sites such as hospitals; enable strong authentication to applications, desktops and networks without expensive custom integration; securely manage shared account IDs such as those used by system administrators for privileged accounts; and automate resets of Windows logon passwords.

The v-GO Access Accelerator Suite scales to tens of thousands of users, has been widely deployed around the world, enables wizard-based integration that eliminates the need to write scripts or connectors even to homegrown or legacy applications, and installs on existing servers without adding dedicated or proprietary hardware. These features lower the total cost of ownership and allow organizations to receive rapid payback on their investment.

All of the v-GO solutions are available through Passlogix and its global partner network.
