Schindler and KONE agreed to settle a dispute on Schindler’s radio-frequency identification (RFID) patents relating to hall call destination control systems for elevators, which enable efficient and automatic identification of passengers and their destinations in a building.

EBIKON, Switzerland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Inventio AG, a company of the Schindler Group, and KONE Corporation have signed a settlement agreement regarding Inventio’s patent family related to RFID call input technology for elevators, including EP Patent No. 699 617, US Patent No. 5,689,094 and others (the “Patents”).
