LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The new collaboration between NYA International (NYA) and Chartis, which sees NYA providing kidnap, extortion, malicious product tampering and maritime piracy response consultancy services to Chartis’ crisis management policyholders, becomes effective on 1st December 2011.

"As Chartis continues to focus on the ever-increasing kidnap, extortion, malicious product tampering and maritime piracy risks we believe it is critical to partner with a consultancy firm that can provide our clients with the necessary specialization and insights to reduce their exposure to these risks.” says Tracie Thompson, global head of Kidnap and Ransom for Chartis.

“NYA has an unmatched record for adapting response techniques to meet the challenges presented by these risks and of developing innovation to meet our clients’ needs. Examples of this include TravelSafe – a new travel risk management solution comprising country risk information, a traveller tracking tool and emergency response for travellers – which will be available to Chartis’ crisis management policyholders at no additional cost. On a case-by-case basis we will also be providing our maritime piracy policyholders with MarTrack - NYA’s new vessel tracking and risk monitoring service, which helps ship owners and operators to plan proactively and better protect their assets.”

Tracie concludes, “By joining forces with NYA we are ensuring our clients receive the most appropriate prevention and response services - which is critical for those conducting business in volatile areas around the globe.”
