HYOGO, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Graduate School of Information Technology of Kobe Institute of Computing (KIC) is glad to announce that Toshiki Sumitani, ex-management consultant of Mckinsey & Company, took office of president of KIC. President Sumitani was actively engaged in the management consultation for local businesses in Japan and Northern Europe while at Mckinsey & Company. President Sumitani has been concerned with training promising business-leaders of a great number of corporations through guiding Problem-solving thinking and Management-strategy thinking.

With that rich experience, President Sumitani enthusiastically worked on training business-leaders at Ohmae & Associates established by co-founder, Kenichi Ohmae, in 1997. In 1996, President Sumitani founded a school for children, in Kobe. This school was named "Learn net Global School" orientated to "The Third Education", which aims to develop the best of children's personalities, and has practiced Pursuit-style education. Since 2005, President Sumitani has been teaching Problem-solving thinking and Management-strategy thinking at KOGSB (Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business) and KIC and has made brilliant achievements in the educational field.

Under the new personnel system with President Sumitani who is well-experienced in both the educational world and the industrial world, as a unique vocational graduate school intensified on the education of Problem-solving thinking about information technology and development of IT techniques from an international point of view, KIC focuses on bringing up competent students with practical expertise on ability of problem-solving and global perspectives with respect to information technology.
