NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) has announced the Call for Entries for the 2010 Jay Chiat Awards for Strategic Excellence. The awards are open to brilliant strategic thinkers from around the world, from any type of communications company, including advertising and media agencies.

Consisting of ten categories, the awards extend beyond advertising to reflect the holistic marketing communications universe. Opportunities for awards include: existing brand, new brand, new product, brand experience, communication/media strategy, social media strategy, design strategy, for good, research innovation and creative technology.

“The advertising and marketing communications business has undergone dramatic change in recent years. The Jay Chiat awards acknowledge the full scope of that transformation, and the resulting strategic imperatives for our industry,” said Nancy Hill, Chairman and CEO of the 4A’s. “Certainly Jay would have wanted us to continue to evolve, as he always did.”

The Jay Chiat Awards competition will culminate in the first-ever Jay Chiat Strategy Festival in Miami this October (formerly the 4A’s Account Planning Conference), which will bring innovative thinkers together to celebrate the winning entries from each category.

These include: Colin Mitchell, Ogilvy; Gareth Kay, Goodby Silverstein & Partners; Sean Boyle; Paul Woolmington, Naked; Peter Kim, MD, Dachis Group; Russ Meyer, CSO, Landor; Dave Cobban, Nike; and John Mayo-Smith, R/GA.

The early deadline for Jay Chiat Awards entries is Friday, June 25 at 12:00 AM EDT. Cost is $500 per entry. Entries will continue to be accepted through Friday, July 9 at 12:00 AM EDT at $750 per entry. More information can be found at www.jaychiatawards.com.
