Mother Wins Best Film at the 4th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong

A total of 14 awards were presented at the glamorous event

with South Korea leading in wins

 

(Hong Kong, 22nd March 2010) Mother, the South Korean thriller by BONG Joon-ho was awarded Best Film at the 4th Asian Film Awards (AFA), held on 22nd March 2010 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This is the second win for Director BONG Jooh-ho for Mother at the Asian Film Awards.

Mother also claimed awards for Best Actress and Best Screenwriter. South Korea took home the most awards, a total of six including Best Film, Best Actress, Best Newcomer, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenwriter, and Best Visual Effects.
