Lillibeth Bishop, HKTB (USA) Receives "Top 25" Honor at HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala

NEW YORK -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --

The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has selected Lillibeth Canet Bishop as one of the "Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing" for 2009. The seventh annual list recognizes the "best of the best" in the hospitality, travel and tourism industries, and the recipients were honored during a private ceremony preceding the Adrian Awards Gala on Feb. 1, 2010, at the New York Marriott Marquis, and were recognized on-stage at the Gala.

The 2009 "Top 25" recipients were judged by a panel of senior industry executives for their recent work based on the following criteria: creativity and innovation; cutting edge sales or marketing campaigns; triumph in challenging situations; and sales efforts that resulted in dramatic gains.

Since she started her career in the tourism and travel industry, Lillibeth Canet Bishop has racked up several awards. While heading the marketing and public relations departments for Western USA and Latin America for the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Ms. Bishop developed and created the global advertising and marketing tagline for TAT. At the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Ms. Bishop received special recognition for her excellent work during the SARS crisis that contributed to the sharp V-shaped rebound of tourism arrivals from the Americas into Hong Kong. Several of the marketing projects Ms. Bishop has led and initiated have received the Telly Award, Magellan Award for Advertising/Marketing, etc. In addition to her work at HKTB, Ms. Bishop is pursuing a Master of Science in Internet Marketing; she is also an alumna of iMedia Breakthrough Summit, an exclusive gathering of top digital marketers in the USA. Ms. Bishop is finishing a novel, The Tree of Lavender Tears.
