OYAMA, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gigaphoton Inc. (Head Office: Oyama, Tochigi; President & CEO: Katsumi Uranaka), a leading manufacturer of excimer lasers used as light sources for semiconductor lithography, has announced the completion of a new head office building. The construction started in autumn 2016 to handle the increased sales due to the company’s larger market share and further business expansion such as launching new businesses.
Gigaphoton has seen a rapid increase in sales due to the expansion of its market share in recent years thanks to the worldwide support from customers for our Green Innovation activities, which reduce the running costs and environmental load of laser operations. In 2016, the company launched the GIGANEX brand for a new business of applying existing technologies to different industrial areas, and released an annealing light source for FPD manufacturing as the first offering. In the meantime, the new head office building to provide larger space for supporting further business expansion was completed on June 30, 2017. With the completion of the building, the production and storage areas have increased 40%, and the production capacity can be expanded up to 70% as compared with that in 2015.
