SHANGHAI -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --

With only days to go to the grand launch of The Health Industry Summit (tHIS) in Shanghai, China, the excitement and anticipation is building up. More than 200,000 professionals are ready to travel from 140 countries and all corners of China to attend the event on May 15-18, 2015 at the brand new National Exhibition & Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai.

Themed “where the world of Pharmaceutical and Medical industries converge”, this mega event is expected to turn a new chapter in the healthcare industry in China, just as healthcare emerges to take over automotive and other manufacturing sectors as one of the most exciting growth drivers for China’s economy.

tHIS, to cover more than 280,000sqm, is the first B2B event to employ all halls of NECC (Shanghai). Among the highlights of the Summit is the premier conference - Healthcare China 2015, a top-level 2-day program focused on the investment in healthcare in China. Keynote speakers include Li Jian’ge, Director of Tsinghua PBCSF and He Wei, Deputy Chairman of Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party Central Committee, among a long list of CEOs and government officials that are set to kick off the next wave of investments and collaboration into the health sector. Engaging topics include Strategic Layout for China Greater Healthcare Industry Platform, Medical system reform and innovation in the Internet+ era and much more.

Beyond the sold-out segments of Medical Equipment, Drug Formulation, Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Manufacturing Technology represented by industry leading events like CMEF, PHARMCHINA and API CHINA, newly-launched shows and segments are also under the spotlight. Natural Health and Nutrition China and Logistics Pavilion within PHARMCHINA are covering new growth segments that are not traditionally the core focus on the value chain but are gaining in popularity for distributors and investors in recent years.

Along with over 10,000 international buyers and delegations from more than 140 countries and regions, pavilions will gather exhibitors from more than 20 regions and nations including USA, Germany, UK, France, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Hong Kong, making this event one of the most international healthcare events to take place in China.
